Alternative Raw Material Manager

Overview
PURPOSELead the development of Alternative raw materials business development and positioning strategy for Geocycle on behalf of LafargeHolcim. This position location is negotiable.
Responsibilities
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Demonstrates a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to safety policies in all work environments and areas.
Support LafargeHolcim in sustainability initiatives to utilize alternative materials in cement manufacturing
Develop a strategic view (current picture and future picture) of the manufacturing and power industries with a key focus on the Alternative raw materials for use in cement manufacturing.
Work closely with plant teams and lead feasibility and implementation of key ARM Execute new business negotiations, acquisitions, joint ventures and other related strategies on behalf of Geocycle
Identify the risks and opportunities related to Geocycle's vertical integration into the Flyash, Mill scale and silica markets.
Manage relationships with 3rd parties and customers related to initiative identification and project implementation
Maintain pipeline of key initiatives and status of the projects
Work closely with AFR Sales Managers to identify and capture opportunities as they relate to Alternative Raw Materials
Identify business opportunities (that if acted on) represent significant value potential and product positioning opportunities for Geocycle
Work closely with the business planning function:
Analyse market trends to determine the current state and future direction of Alternative raw materials and other related products
dentify business opportunities (that if not acted on) represent significant revenue potential and product positioning risks/losses/vulnerabilities for Geocycle
lead the initiative to present the business case for capitalizing on potential opportunities
Other duties as assigned.
RELATIONSHIPS WITH OTHER JOBSEnsures customer's needs are met by daily interaction with plant teams.
Qualifications
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
Required Education: Bachelor's/Undergraduate DegreeField of Study Preferred: Engineering or Business degree ? with a focus on marketing and salesRequired Computer and Software Skills: Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Programs; SAP experience a plus
Required Work Experience:
5-7 years experience in business development specifically required including extensive experience negotiating business transactions, acquisitions, and joint ventures.
Waste experience preferred.
10-15 years business experience including sales management, manufacturing and/or logistics operations preferred
Travel Requirements: 30-40% as required to research, negotiate and execute business opportunitiesAdditional Requirements:
Experience in the construction materials related industry preferred
Experience in manufacturing and power industries specifically is a plus
Exceptional negotiation and transaction execution skills
Exceptional initiative and analytical skills
Strong problem solving skills
Excellent communication skills and persuasiveness in written and verbal (informal and presentation) communications
Strong relationship building skills with internal and external customers
Prior experience in leading projects (estimation, project management, etc.)
Strong organization and communication skills
Ability to work across multiple layers of management in the organization as well as matrix environment



Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
