Job Description:
Position Overview:
As an Engineering Assistant at Mitchell Equipment Corporation, you'll play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation of our business.
Your primary responsibilities will include assisting in engineering projects and various essential tasks, such as creating shop work orders from complex assembly engineering drawings.
We are looking for candidates with strong 3D AutoCAD/Solidworks skills, analytical thinking, proficient mathematical abilities, report research capabilities, and drafting expertise.
In addition, you should possess excellent computer skills, particularly in MS-Excel, MS-Word, and MS-Access, as well as exceptional organizational skills with the ability to effectively prioritize tasks, work under pressure, and meet deadlines.
Maintaining paperwork, including shop orders, procedures, and standards, is also an integral part of this role.
Key
Responsibilities:
1.
Create CAD Drawings:
Produce 2D and 3D production drawings based on engineering layouts.
2.
Manufacturing Processing:
Generate shop work orders from engineering drawings.
3.
Purchasing:
Procure components required for production jobs as specified by our engineering department.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent, with additional education or training in AutoCAD or SolidWorks.
Previous experience in an engineering role.
Proficiency in office software, with familiarity in manufacturing software as a plus.
Outstanding organizational and multitasking skills.
Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
On-the-Job Training:
