59 PM Eastern Bargaining Unit UNITED AUTO WORKERS (UAW) Job Description This position is responsible for the distribution and presentation of Michigan travel-related literature, utilizing available resources to showcase Michigan's potential to the public, organizing information based on visitor travel needs, assisting the public with travel routing/destination planning, and acting as a liaison to local organizations/entities for tourism promotions at the Welcome Center.
Provide and distribute literature, information, and guidance on travel and vacation activities within the State.
Assist in preparing literature displays in the center.
The Salary listed above is a range that reflects the minimum rate at the entry (7) level through the maximum rate at the experienced (E9) level.

Required Education and Experience Education Education typically acquired through completion of high school Experience Departmental Technician 7 One year of experience performing administrative support activities equivalent to the 7-level in state service.
Departmental Technician 8 One year of experience performing administrative support activities equivalent to the 8-level in state service.
OR One year of experience as a technician or paraprofessional equivalent to the entry level in state service.
Departmental Technician E9 One year of experience as a supervisor of administrative support activities equivalent to the 9-level in state service.
OR One year of experience performing administrative support activities equivalent to the 9-level in state service.
OR Two years of experience as a technician or paraprofessional, including one year of experience equivalent to the intermediate level in state service.
Alternate Education and Experience Departmental Technician (Trainee) 7 Two years of experience in a 7 level or higher non-administrative support ECP Group One classification.
OR One year of experience as a first-line supervisor in an ECP Group Three classification.
Departmental Technician 7 Completion of two years of college (60 semester or 90 term credits) may be substituted for the experience requirement.
Departmental Technician 8 Possession of a Bachelor's degree may be substituted for the experience requirement.
Departmental Technician E9 Possession of a Bachelor's degree and one year of job-related experience may be substituted for the experience requirement.

Vacation and Sick Leave:
Eligible full-time employees receive between 15 and 35 personal days and 13 sick days per year that may be rolled over to the following year if not used.
Eligible employees also receive an additional day each year for community service or school functions.
Paid Parental Leave:
Eligible employees can take 12 weeks of paid leave immediately after a birth or adoption to allow needed time together at home with a new child.
Paid Holidays:
Eligible employees receive 13 or 14 paid holidays each year including New Year's Eve and Day, Martin Luther King Jr.
Day, Presidents' Day, Memorial Day, Juneteenth, the Fourth of July, Labor Day, Election Day, Veterans Day, Thanksgiving, Thanksgiving Friday, Christmas Eve and Day.
Bonus Programs:

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
